Designing a Flag for San Marcos, Texas
Designing the flag of San Marcos, Texas was a deeply personal experience.
The lone star and maroon are nods to both Texas and Texas State University, which contribute heavily to the economy and culture of the city. The blue stripes represent the San Marcos river, of which the town is deeply proud of and connected to.
